The Wyoming Department of Transportation wants travelers to know that tonight, Wednesday,July 8, into early morning July 9 there will be nighttime closures on Interstate 80.

The location is the eastbound lane at milepost 357 just west of Cheyenne.

Crews will be installing a new Overhead Dynamic Message Sign and road closure times will be 11 pm to midnight, 1 am to 2 am, and 3 am to 4 am.


This is one  of several nighttime closures on Interstate 80 during  this construction season to allow for the installation of  Overhead Dynamic Message Signs.The signs are planned for road sections that commonly experience unpredictable weather patterns. The closures will all follow the same type schedule as described above.

The remaining locations are as follows:
 
milepost 308.62 eastbound lane - Approx. 2 miles west of Laramie

milepost 308.62 westbound lane - Approx. 2 miles west of Laramie


milepost 273.85 westbound lane - Approx. 2 miles east of Arlington


milepost 266.0 eastbound lane - Approx. 1 mile west of Wagonhound  
milepost 257.08 westbound lane - Approx. 1 mile west of Elk Mountain
 
milepost 291.4 westbound lane Approx. 1 mile east of Quealy Dome
WYDOT will announce each of those closures before they happen.
