ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) — An 18-year-old Utah man is in custody after one woman was killed and another injured in a stabbing at a hotel in Rock Springs in southwest Wyoming.

Police identified the man in custody as Bradley Fairbourn, of Draper, Utah.

Rock Springs Police Chief Dwane Pacheco says in a news release that police were called to the hotel at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

He says 29-year-old Naisha Story, of South Jordan, Utah, was found with multiple stab wounds. She was taken to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County, where she died.

A second woman was found injured and eventually airlifted to University Hospital in Salt Lake City. Her name was not released.

No other details were immediately released.
