Get ready for a return to winter.  With the exception of the northwest and west central portions of the state, the rest of the state is under Winter Storm Watches, Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings through late Tuesday.  Snow will be heavy at times in some areas, especially tonight into Tuesday morning, and the wind will be of a concern as well.  Northeast winds up to 35 and 40 mph and stronger will cause poor visibility, blowing snow and dangerous driving conditions.  It will be much colder too, with highs only in the teens and 20s on Tuesday.  This is a dangerous spring storm.  Travel will be impacted and conditions will be challenging for livestock as well.

Wednesday will be a cold, blustery day statewide with lingering snow showers along the state’s eastern border.  The wind will continue to be strong as well, especially in the east.  Temperatures will moderate a touch for the middle of the week with highs mainly in the 30s, with a few 40s in the west.
