A record amount of precipitation was recorded in the snow Wednesday in the Casper area. According to the National Weather Service's site at the Casper/Natrona County International Airport .52" of precip. was recorded in the snow. That broke the old record of .29" recorded on Dec. 15th, 1992. The airport picked up 7.3" of snow. 8.3" has fallen for the month and 17.1" for the season. But that is still 10 inches below average for the season thus far.
