Natrona County Commissioner Terry Wingerter has announced he’s running for re-election. In his reelection announcement, the accomplishments he touted were the development of an all-jet airport, a new Juvenile Detention Center, the improved Fair Grounds road and more.

He says one of his top priorities in the next term is maintaining and improving county roads. He says all the citizen surveys show, that is where most folks want the 1-cent sales tax spent.

When asked if he is worried about the fate of the sales tax he admitted the School Bond defeat might be worrisome, but given the longevity of the sales tax, he felt it would be renewed.
