WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 11 AM

MST WEDNESDAY. THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

 

* SUMMARY AND TIMING...BITTER COLD TEMPERATURES WILL COMBINE WITH

BRISK NORTHEAST WINDS FOR DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS BEGINNING EARLY

THIS EVENING AND CONTINUING THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING.

 

* WIND CHILLS...WILL BE FROM 25 BELOW TO 35 BELOW ZERO AT TIMES.

 

* IMPACTS...WIND CHILLS WILL PRODUCE FROST BITE TO EXPOSED SKIN

AREAS AND MAY CAUSE HYPOTHERMIA WITH EXPOSURES OF 20 MINUTES OR

LESS WITHOUT PROPER PROTECTION. IF POSSIBLE AVOID OUTDOOR ACTIVITY.

 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 

A WIND CHILL WARNING MEANS THE COMBINATION OF VERY COLD AIR AND

STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE DANGEROUSLY LOW WIND CHILL VALUES. THIS

WILL RESULT IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA OR DEATH IF

PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
