A Natrona County man is admitting he pointed a revolver at his family and then later at a Sergeant with the Natrona County Sheriff's Office.

Forty-seven year old William Martin has pleaded guilty to one felony charge of possession of a deadly weapon with unlawful intent and two reduced misdemeanor charges of reckless endangering.

Prosecutors say in mid-March, the Sheriff's Office responded to a family fight call from the 3600 block of Blue Sage Lane.

Through interviews with the victims, Martin had been drinking earlier, and when an argument ensued, Martin grabbed and shook one of the victims, and caused some damage inside the residence.

He then later pulled out a handgun and started waiving it in the air and then pointed it at the two victims and threatened to shoot them.

Law enforcement was contacted, and upon entering the residence, a Sergeant saw what was going on, and the Martin turned his gun towards the Sergeant.

Martin then put the gun down and was eventually taken into custody.

The gun had six rounds inside.

When interviewed, Martin admitted to drinking earlier, and recalled waiving his handgun around.

He added that he had been extremely stressed due to working two jobs, and financial legal problems, which caused him to drink more than usual.

As part of plea deal, prosecutors will not seek any prison time for Martin, but all other sentencing options are open for argument.

He is free on $50,000 bond and will be sentenced at a later date.
