A man probably will spend the rest of his life in prison for sexually assaulting at least four girls in the late 1990s to about a decade ago.

William Hall heard the minimum 45-year sentence handed down to him by Natrona County District Court Judge Thomas Sullins on Friday, June 10th.

More than half the courtroom was filled with friends and relatives of the victims, all of whom were under 16 at the time.

Hall was scheduled for sentencing three weeks ago, but withdrew his guilty plea, and the court was obligated to honor it and make preparations for a trial.

At that time, one of his victims told the court how Hall had taken everything from her.

Hall apparently changed his mind and decided to face his punishment

Sullins sentenced him to 18 to 20 year terms on two counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree, and nine to 10 years on one count of indecent liberties of a minor.

Those terms are to be served consecutively.

Sullins also sentenced hall to a nine-to-10-year sentence for sexual assault in the third degree to be served at the same time as the other sentences, and he sentenced him to a five-to-10 year suspended sentence on another identical charge.

In exchange for his plea, prosecutors agreed to drop nine other charges including making child pornography.

Hall, who is in his mid-40s, would be more than 90 years old when he is eligible for probation.
