The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for central Natrona County until 7 p.m., according to its Riverton office.

The Weather Service reported a severe thunderstorm 16 miles northwest of Alcova, 33 miles west of Casper, that was moving northeast at 25 mph.

Wind gusts of up to 60- mph are expected, as well as quarter-size hail.

Hail damage is expected to vehicles. The Weather Service also said to expect wind damage to roofs, siding and trees.

This severe thunderstorm will be near the Goldeneye Reservoir about 7 p.m.

Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Natrona
and Austin Creek Natural Gas Processing Plant.

The Weather Service urges people to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building, and stay away from windows.
