Northeastern Natrona County and southeastern Johnson County are under a tornado warning until 3:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Shortly before 3 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Edgerton, moving southeast at 40 mph.

The warning includes Interstate 25 between mile markers 208 and 240. People in the area are urged to take cover immediately.

The thunderstorm is expected to remain over mostly rural areas of southeastern Johnson and northeastern Natrona Counties.

Hazards include golf ball-size hail. Rotation was indicated on radar.

Flying debris will be dangerous to anyone caught without shelter.
