Warmer Today; Thunderstorms Possible in West & Over Mountains, But Infrequent
Temperatures will warm up through Friday and the weekend ahead. The chance for thunderstorms today will be low overall, but far western and the state’s mountains (and higher terrain) areas are in the low chance. Higher pressure and less moisture will be available for Saturday and Sunday, offering more sunshine. Temperatures will rise further into the 70′s and 80′s, west to east, respectively. By late Monday and Tuesday to Wednesday, more monsoon moisture surges back into the Cowboy state. Expect a much better chance for rain and thunderstorms early next week.
