High pressure will be settled over the state of Wyoming for the rest of today.  Expect sunny to mostly sunny skies with mainly dry weather conditions statewide.  Temperatures will also be cool and near or slightly above normal, with highs in the 30's and 40's.  The main concern today will be strong to high winds, especially across central and southeastern Wyoming.  The more wind-prone areas could see wind gusts up to 60 mph, while gusts between 35 and 50 mph will be found elsewhere.  By tonight, a low pressure system will approach western portions of the state.  This will cause clouds to thicken statewide and it will also keep winds strong to very high.  Wind gusts up to 60 mph will continue to be possible across central and southeastern Wyoming.  There could also be some gusts up to or exceeding 65 mph on I-25 (near Bordeaux) and I-80 (near Elk Mountain, Arlington, Vedauwoo, and Buford).  Elsewhere, expect gusts between 35 and 50 mph.  Flurries or light snow showers will also develop in far western Wyoming tonight.  Watch out for slick and icy roads, including lower elevations of I-80 (Utah state line to Lyman).  This low pressure system will then be settled over the entire state of Wyoming Thursday through at least Sunday.  There will also be faster-moving weather disturbances and cold fronts that slide across the region.  Expect cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, significantly colder temperatures, and daily chances for snow during this time.  The best chance for lower elevation snow will be in the northeast on Thursday, then in southern Wyoming on Friday and again Saturday night into Sunday.  However, generally small (1-3") accumulations are expected statewide.
