A weak ridge of high pressure will build over the region today, which will allow temperatures to become warmer and closer to average statewide.  However, some lingering low-level moisture and daytime heating could trigger a few hit or miss thunderstorms for the afternoon and early evening hours.  Gusty winds and lots of lightning will be possible with any thunderstorms that develop.  Expect partly to mostly sunny skies today with daytime highs in the 70's to lower 80's.  A cool front will then cross through the state of Wyoming on Saturday.  We will see slightly more clouds and a better chance for showers and thunderstorms late on Saturday.  Strong and gusty winds will also be possible at times with the arrival of this cold front.  Temperatures, however, become a few degrees warmer with most locations seeing daytime highs in the mid 70's to 80's.  Expect noticeably cooler temperatures with even more showers and thunderstorms on Sunday and Labor Day.
