A large ridge of high pressure will continue to strengthen over western portions of the nation for the rest of today and Independence Day.  As a result, high pressure will be over western portions of Wyoming, while a northwesterly flow, which is favorable for creating fast-moving weather systems, will be set up over central and eastern Wyoming.  For western Wyoming, expect sunny to mostly sunny skies, warmer than normal temperatures, and only a small chance for showers and thunderstorms during this time.  Daytime highs will remain in the 80's and 90's.  Meanwhile, we will see slightly more cloud cover with isolated showers and thunderstorms for central and eastern Wyoming.  Any storms that develop could produce hail, gusty winds, and brief periods of heavy rain.  Temperatures will remain warm and close to normal today, with daytime highs in the 70's to mid 80's.  We can then expect warmer and slightly above normal temperatures on Independence day, with daytime highs in the 80's to lower 90's.  An unseasonably strong cool front and weather system will move across the region on Sunday and collide with monsoonal moisture.  Mostly cloudy skies with rain showers and thunderstorms are looking likely across much of the state.  Heavy rain will also be possible, which could create some areas of standing water on roadways.  Temperatures will also be cooler and closer to average.
