Strap on your heels and 'Walk a Mile in Her Shoes' this Saturday.  And if you need to borrow some there will be high heels available.

Its a mile long walk through Casper to raise awareness of sexual assault and gender violence. It wraps up Victim Rights Week and Sexual Violence Awareness Month.

"We have some high heels that have been donated, but its first come first serve. Were going to have different sizes, though you may want to bring your own pair if you have large feet."

Alana Ham, for the Casper Police Department's Victims Services Unit says this is the first time the international event is happening in Casper and will take place from Conwell park to City park Saturday at 11am.

Following the walk there will be live bands, food, and a moment of silence in honor of victims of assault plus a chance to learn about victim services available in Casper.

While the event is to raise awareness donations are also being accepted for the Rotary Foundation Victim Fund.
