The Natrona County Victim Response Unit will hold a seminar on stalking Thursday evening.

On Thursday January 6th from six to eight PM, the Casper Police Department and the Natrona County Victim Response Unit will present a seminar about stalking.

"Basically, what we're going to cover is the statutes on what constitutes stalking. We're going to also talk about the different ways that suspects do stalk. And then we're also going to emphasize technology, and how technology is used for stalking."

Jim Holscher is the Casper Police Department's Coordinator for the Victim Response Unit.

"There's all sorts of different types of technology. Just about any everyday technology you would use normally, cell phones are a great stalking tool for suspects. There are ways that folks can tap into cell phones and actually turn speakers on, even if the phones off, so they can hear what's going on. They can track the GPS capability in your cell phone to figure out where you're at."

The free presentation is open to the public and will be held at the Crawford Room in the Natrona County Library.
