A ridge of high pressure will be settled over the state of Wyoming today through the start of the weekend.  Monsoonal moisture and atmospheric instability will also be transferred into the region during this time.  For today, expect early sunshine with thickening clouds during the afternoon and evening hours.  Scattered showers and thunderstorms are also expected statewide.  Any storm that develops could produce gusty winds, lots of lightning, and heavy rain, especially across western and southern portions of the state.  Temperatures will be very warm to hot and near or slightly above normal across the state.  Daytime highs will be in the 80's to lower 90's.  We will continue to see partly to mostly sunny skies with daily chances for showers and thunderstorms Thursday through Saturday.  Temperatures will also be unseasonably hot for much of the state during this time.  Slightly cooler temperatures arrive on Sunday, but unsettled weather conditions continue.
