LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — The University of Wyoming will host a regional job fair for geoscience students later this month.

The 11th annual Rocky Mountain Rendezvous is scheduled for Sept. 21-24 at the UW Conference Center and Hilton Garden Inn.

It is one of five regional job fairs sponsored by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Society for Exploration Geophysicists.

The event offers an opportunity for geoscience students from across the United States to visit with oil, gas and environmental industry representatives, and showcase their work. Close to 200 students have attended in recent years, and approximately 25 companies are expected this year.

Chevron, Shell, ExxonMobil, Anadarko, Encana Oil and Gas, BP Corporation, ConocoPhillips, Marathon Oil, Hess Corporation and Schlumberger will be among the companies with representatives at this year's fair.
