LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — The University of Wyoming is hosting the third annual Front Range High-Performance Computing Symposium this week.

The three-day symposium began Tuesday and runs through Thursday.

It features a series of tutorials covering many aspects of high performance computing design and use, nationally recognized speakers and a student research poster competition.

The symposium is sponsored by the Front Range Consortium for Research Computing, which is a group of universities and government labs in the region.

The consortium enables the partner institutions to collaborate in order to promote high-performance computing and share ideas for further collaboration. All member institutions rely on high-performance computing to meet their own strategic goals.
