A Cheyenne man accused of killing his girlfriend's 13-month-old son and putting his body in a dumpster has waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

Twenty-three-year-old Logan Rogers is charged with involuntary manslaughter and child endangering with a controlled substance in the death of Silas Ojeda.

Investigators say Rogers told them the boy died after falling off a counter at home and that Rogers wrapped him in a white comforter and put him in a dumpster near Laramie County Community College.

The Laramie County Sheriff's Department, with the assistance of multiple agencies, has been searching a landfill west of Ault, Colorado for the boy's body since last Tuesday.

Rogers, who is being held in the Laramie County Detention Center on $500,000 cash bond, is facing up to 25 years in prison if convicted. His arraignment date has not yet been scheduled.
