A strong ridge of high pressure will continue to control the weather today.  We will see sunny to mostly sunny skies with warm and well above normal temperatures statewide.  Conditions will also stay mainly dry during the day.  A cool front will then approach the state later this evening into tonight.  This will create thickening clouds and scattered thunderstorm activity in western and northern parts of the state, while there will be just a small chance for thunderstorms in central and southern Wyoming.  Daytime highs will stay in the 70's for mountains, 80's across lower elevations, and 90's in the eastern plains.  Temperatures will be noticeably cooler and closer to average for northern and central Wyoming on Friday, but temperatures in southern Wyoming will be just a touch cooler and still slightly above normal.  We can also expect partly sunny skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms statewide.
