LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia is set to speak at the University of Wyoming.

Scalia is set to speak Thursday afternoon at the university's fine arts concert hall in Laramie.

Scalia was invited to speak by 23-year-old student Caitlin Wallace, president of The Federalist Society on campus.

Wallace also worked with other campus Republicans to bring conservative commentator Ann Coulter to campus last year.

President Ronald Reagan appointed Scalia to the Supreme Court in 1986. Many court observers say Scalia has distinguished himself with his conservative approach, vivid writing style and willingness to mingle with the public.
