Wyoming's U.S. Representative was sworn into the 112th Congress Wednesday. Rep. Lummis sworn in:

"Rep. Cynthia Lummis began her second term with a promise to continue being a strong voice for the Wyoming people in Washington.

Rep. Lummis said in a statement release by her office that reckless spending has threatened our nation's economic stability.

As a member of the House Appropriations Committee, Lummis said she would pursue spending cuts and rein in the federal budget deficit. She says the Committee has already begun the work of repealing the new health care law.

Lummis expressed optimism that with a conservative majority now in the U.S. House, the American people will be heard and the mission of Congress will make their concerns a priority.

Rep. Lummis was sworn in by Speaker of the House John Boehner (bay' ner), with her husband, Al Wiederspahn, holding the Bible."
