Country singers Tyler Farr and Charlie Worsham will perform Wednesday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the University of Wyoming College of Arts and Sciences auditorium.

Tickets cost $5 for students and $10 for the public, and are available at the Wyoming Union information desk or at the door.

Farr released his first single, “Hot Mess,” in 2012. He is nominated for the 2014 Academy of Country Music New Artist of the Year award, which will be announced Sunday, April 6. Farr’s newest album, “Redneck Crazy,” was released last September, and debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s country albums chart.

He has the biggest country debut single by a new male artist, selling approximately 30,000 copies in its first week of release.

Opening for Farr will be Worsham, a Mississippi native. In 2013, Worsham’s debut single, “Could it Be,” quickly earned a spot on the Top 40 country charts.

UW Concerts and Convocations sponsors the concert. People needing assistance to attend the event can call (307) 766-6340.
