Cheyenne police say alcohol may be to blame for a Monday night crash that put two men in the hospital.

Officer Kevin Malatesta says the crash happened around 9 p.m. at the intersection of College Drive and E. Pershing Boulevard.

"An F-150 was southbound on College when it struck a Toyota Camry that was eastbound on Pershing," said Malatesta.

"The accident was very severe," he added. "I understand the driver of the truck was at CRMC ICU and the other one was life flighted to Denver."

Malatesta is asking anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the truck driving erratically prior to the crash who hasn't spoken with police to call Officer Serkedakis at (307) 633-6682.

"Any type of crash of this nature, of this severity, we want to make sure that we're getting everybody who was there interviewed," he said.
