Alcohol is suspected as the contributing factor that lead to a head on double fatality crash on Sunday. It happened at about 1:25 a.m. 2.3 miles west of Douglas on Interstate 25.

39 year old Craig B. Powell of Saratoga, Wyoming was traveling south in the northbound lanes of Interstate 25. 55 year old Kevin S. Martin of Rock Springs, Wyoming was traveling north on I 25 following behind a third vehicle. The driver of the third vehicle saw Powell's oncoming car and swerved right to avoid a crash. Martin did not have time to react to avoid Powell and a head on collision resulted. After impact, Martin's car caught on fire.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the crash scene. Alcohol use by Craig Powell is being investigated as the contributing factor of the crash.
