DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Authorities say they are searching for a gunman who walked into a North Carolina tire store and shot five people, killing two and leaving three others wounded.

The Durham County Sheriff's Office says the shooting happened Friday afternoon at JT Tire in Durham.

Investigators say the gunman was described by witnesses as a 6-foot-tall black man wearing a bright colored T-shirt and with a tattoo on the left side of his face. He was seen leaving the area driving a silver sedan.

Deputies say the three people wounded have been taken to local hospitals. Information about their conditions and identities was not immediately available.
