SARATOGA, Wyo. (AP) — The U.S. Forest Service plans closures on the western side of the Sierra Madre mountain range to allow crews to remove hazardous dead trees.

Forest Road 801, commonly known as the Deep Creek/Rawlins Road, will be closed on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for the next several weeks. The road is a popular route between Rawlins, High Savery Reservoir and the Sandstone area.

The road will remain open for public travel during evenings and on weekends. It will also be open on July 4th.
