The date of the test tornado warning to be conducted by the National Weather Service during Wyoming Severe Weather Awareness Week has been changed. The new date of the test tornado warning will be Friday, April 25, at 1030 am.

The National Weather Service will issue the test tornado warning for all of Wyoming to ensure statewide emergency communications and alerting capabilities are ready for the thunderstorm season. “We encourage families, schools, business owners, and employees to discuss how they can best receive weather warnings and appropriate shelter and evacuation procedures,” said Chris Jones, meteorologist with the NWS office in Riverton. “Find out the types of severe weather most likely in your part of the state and plan accordingly.”
