A storm system that brought heavy rain and lightning to portions of Wyoming Monday night also generated a tornado near Cheyenne. The tornado touched down around 6:00 p.m. Monday northwest of Cheyenne, but there were no initial reports of any injuries or damage.

The system also brought heavy rain, hail and lightning to Casper, prompting the issuance of a Flash Flood Watch late Monday night. More thunderstorms are possible Tuesday afternoon.
