JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — People in Jackson are cleaning up after a thunderstorm knocked over some large trees and downed hundreds of branches.

At least four large cottonwood trees fell around Jackson Hole High School in Monday afternoon's storm.

The Associated Press reported that the large conifer tree fell on the front entrance of the Jackson Hole Lodge and a cottonwood tree toppled over behind the hotel.

The conifer demolished the support posts of the hotel's portico. The cottonwood's branches ended up on the balcony of a vacant guest room.
