After a couple of days with more comfortable temperatures, the mercury will start to rise statewide today through the weekend.  Highs will range from the 80s to the mid and upper 90s.

No major weather systems or fronts are expected to move through over the next two to three days.  There will, however, be enough atmospheric moisture around to trigger isolated thunderstorms.  Storms today will be found in the west, south and east.  In the northeast some storms may turn strong to severe and contain damaging wind, frequent lightning and perhaps some hail.  Less thunderstorm activity is expected on Saturday and Sunday, but a few cannot be ruled out.
