A Casper woman is going to prison for violating her probation.

Tamika Wallace was sentenced to two-and-a-half to five years at the Wyoming Women's Center in Lusk for failing to meet the terms of her probation.

In June, Wallace was sentenced to three years of probation on one charge of child abuse.

Prosecutors say one month after her sentencing she violated the terms of probation, by failing to report to her probation officer and having contact with people she was ordered to stay away from.

Wallace was initially arrested in May of last year, after admitting to investigators she spanked a child with a belt, then calling his school to say he was sick.
