In the midst of an unbelievable flood in Yellowstone National Park and surrounding areas, National Park Service Director, Chuck Sams, has issued a public comment on the emergency.

A lot has happened since the 1988 fire that closed Yellowstone's gates.

Yellowstone National Park has announced that, due to the flooding and the severely damaged infrastructure that resulted from the flood, portions of the park will remain closed for a 'significant length of time.'
