(AP) — Some Teton County residents want semitrailers banned from using Teton Pass until transportation officials can ensure the safety of the steep mountain pass in northwest Wyoming.

In addition, residents suggested stiffer fines for overweight trucks, a new runaway truck ramp closer to Wilson and a manned weigh station on the west side of the pass to help prevent accidents
