The ring of a phone and a few passing phrases. That is all it takes, and I’m off like a shot. Across Casper I go, like an antelope at full throttle. I was sent to direct some folks into their next job site. Conveniently, this all transpired near lunchtime. A few minutes later, I find myself headed toward my next review, posse in tow.

We decide on gorging at Primetime Restaurant, located inside the Sunrise shopping center’s bowling alley. A quick check of their website on my smart phone indicates “Our burgers were just voted #1 in the state by our customers!” My fate was sealed and the vote was in. I was going to test the claim and lay waste to some beef.

I ask long time Casper residents to close their eyes and think back. What feels like a few millennia ago, do you remember what resided at the intersection of Second Street and Beverly, on the Southwest corner? At the time, the small structure was a Taco Bell that for many years pumped out cheap fast food for passing motorists.

After a brief Facebook survey, my palate and I made it to Frosty’s Bar and Lounge. Located on Center Street across from the Flex Complex, Frosty’s is in a prime location for any weary downtown diners. Despite having passed by the business for several decades, I had relegated it to the back of my mind. It’s nothing more than another bar trying to make a quick buck off of the working man, or so I thought until today.

With extreme trepidation I approached the building. I had heard good things, but how good could it be? Previous eateries in the same building had at best, left me in want, and screaming toward the door at worst. With my bravest foot forward, I entered Pho Saigon at the corner of Beverly and 12th Street in Casper.
