The river is flooding portions of the Platte River Trails near the Casper Whitewater Park, the Tate Pumphouse, Amoco Park, and Mills Bridge Public Access.
The North Platte River's above average flow has submerged the area around the Tate Pumphouse and has completely flooded areas of the Platte River Trails.
“Conditions are very dangerous at this time,” says Burton. “People shouldn’t float when the river is this high. It will drop soon; wait until then for your float trip.”
