The list of fallen officers goes back to the early 1900s but also includes two Cheyenne Police Officers who died in the 2ist century, according to the post.
National Police Week pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.
A ceremony honoring Peace Officers who died in the line of duty takes place tomorrow morning at 11am. Its held at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy in Douglas and happens in conjunction with National Police Week.
Casper Police Chief, Chris Walsh, says the ceremony this year in Wyoming honors an officer who died over 130 years ago.
"His name is Adolf Cuny and he was killed on July 27th 1877
