Homeless Veterans Stand Down

The Cheyenne VA Medical Center hosted its annual Homeless Veterans Stand Down today (Thursday).

"Standdowns are based on the old military stand down.  Soldiers would come out of the field to rest and recuperate.  It's the same philosophy with the homeless stand down, that's to bring veterans in to offer them a meal, provisions,  a chance to clean up and to renew there spirit, maybe rejuvenate their whole outlook...

Health screenings for homeless vets will be offered as part of a Homeless Veterans Stand Down Wednesday in Casper. The event, hosted by the Sheridan VA Medical Center and the Casper Vet Center runs all day at the Casper National Guard Armory. Listen here,
