Elk Hunt Under Way In Grand Teton Park

JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — Hunters killed 24 elk in the first week of this year's Grand Teton National Park elk hunt.

Grand Teton issued 725 licenses this year with the goal of hunters taking 300 elk. In the 2011 hunt, 750 permits were issued and 278 elk were taken

GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — Federal workplace safety regulators are investigating the death of a Colorado man at a construction site at Grand Teton National Park.

WILSON, Wyo. (AP) — Grand Teton National Park has closed portions of the road between Moose and Wilson because of the presence of feeding grizzly bears.

Bears are feeding on chokecherry bushes and other plants in the area
