Melting snow is posing potential flooding issues for Fremont County for the next couple of days.

More severe weather is expected Monday.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a special weather statement regarding possible flooding for the areas surrounding the Sierra Madre and Snowy Mountain Ranges, including the cities of Baggs, Saratoga, Encampment, Centennial, Albany, Bosler and Laramie.

The Colorado-Wyoming region of the American Red Cross has sent 32 volunteers to Texas to help the victims of Tropical Storm Harvey, a spokesman said today. In Fremont County, the Wind River caused more $3.8 million in damage to an irrigation canal.

Rapidly melting snowpack caused widespread flooding in June, damaging roads and bridges as well as irrigation systems for farms.

In 2013, the City of Casper commissioned a study of the storm sewer system.

The city is responsible for the repair, maintenance and capital projects of its storm sewer system.

A flood warning remains posted for the Green River in Sublette and Lincoln counties in southwest Wyoming where widespread minor flooding continues.
