Details are scarce for the time being, but Casper Fire-EMS Engineer Toph Steinhoff told K2 Radio News that the fire spread in the area, but was put out before it could spread to the neighboring communities.
"Deputies have began evacuating residents as of 12:00 p.m. Please avoid the area of Natrona Road and Pine Mountain at this time," said Kiera Grogan with the Natrona County Sheriff's Office.
As of 1 p.m., traffic was being diverted around the area and numerous fire trucks and police officers were on the scene. Motorists are being urged to avoid the area.
