The Subcommittee says Wyoming is faced with a budget phenomenon known as a “double-whammy,”- mineral prices and production are in decline, but the State is still required to provide the same level of education goods and services previously maintained by the energy economy.
Nichols says the future of the university depends on increasing its enrollment and reviewing its tuition and fees, which she said are among the lowest in the nation.
Laramie High School will be the first of the six new schools to open, with the ribbon-cutting on August 11. The new LHS received nearly $80.3 million in state funding.
