Forecasters say the Wind River at Riverton is expected to crest at about 12 feet Monday and then slowly recede but remain above flood stage through the week.
Precipitation is expected to develop east of the Divide late today into the evening hours as the upper-level system shifts into central and eastern Wyoming.
In northwest Wyoming, just 20 miles out side of Dubois, the Lava Mountain Fire has grown to over 12,000 acres as of July 28th. With weather conditions being what they are fire growth is expected over the next 24-48 hours as high temperatures will continue to approach 75 degrees and with humidity of only 15% and west winds 8-15 mph and gusting to 20 mph Mother Nature is not helping the efforts...

In my travels this past weekend, I had just left Dubois, Wyoming and had entered the Shoshone National Forest when I noticed a large plume of smoke coming from the area known as Lava Mountain, just south of Highway 26/287.
