Personnel from the Albany County Emergency Management and Assessor’s office, in conjunction with the National Weather Service in Cheyenne and Farm Service Agency have assessed the area in Albany County Impacted by Wednesday’s tornado.

Rural parts of Albany County were hit with what turned in to a massive tornado Wednesday afternoon that did result in some property damage.

The Albany County Assessor's office is reviewing the area where the tornado hit with the National Weather Service and Emergency Management to assess damage to property.

It's been a little more than three years since the Hibachi Supreme Grill first opened it's doors in the Eastridge Mall. Today's thunderstorm may have done some severe damage to the property.

Police noted that all the damage at both locations appeared to have been the result of small, round projectiles.

The highway remains open, but drivers are asked to drive slowly and carefully through the area of the slide.

The flooding from heavy mountain snowpack runoff damaged roads, bridges and other infrastructure.
