Grand Teton National Park is currently adjusting how they monitor and enforce wildlife viewing policies for visitors, especially when it comes to grizzly bears. Some viewing areas are being closed and you can no longer view at close range from a sun roof, for example. The restrictions are being met with some grumbling. Certain Jackson Hole resident photographers say there is more to the safety story than just visitor/photographer behavior.

Wild life Photographer, Tom Mangelson, suggests other park and wildlife management practices like the radio collaring of bears, may need review as well.

Inter-agency Grizzly Bear Study Team Leader Chuck Schwartz talks with K2 Radio's Karen Snyder about that practice as its used in the study of Grizzlies in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem that includes Grand Teton National Park.
