The head of Wyoming Independent Living said saving some money on one side doesn't always translate into larger savings overall.

The Casper Area Transportation Coalition relies on funding from local governments that are matched by federal funds.

Casper City Council is scheduled to vote on the 2018-2019 budget at its meeting at City Hall at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

In cooperation with the City of Casper, the Casper Area Transportation Coalition and The Bus have received funding from the Community Development Block Grant program to assist passengers who are low to moderate income with receiving CATC tickets and/or bus tokens at no cost.

All rides on CATC and The Bus will be free on Tuesday, July 7th, otherwise known as Parade Day.
