T-Birds Sweep Sheridan

The Casper College men's basketball team came up with a quality win on Wednesday night, knocking off 13th ranked Sheridan 88-80 at the Erickson Gym. The Birds had 5 guys in double figures led by Antun Maricevic with 21. Levy Miguel and Chase Winchester each threw in 15. The Birds took a big step forward in terms of hosting a 1st round region 9 tournament game. Casper is currently 20-9 on the year.

The Casper College women protected their #14 ranking in the nation with a 69-56 win over Sheridan on Wednesday. The Birds overcame an iffy shooting performance going 33% from the floor and 3--19 from 3 point land. The C.C. ladies clinched the Region IX North with a win over Powell last week and will host the Region IX tournament next month. They currently sport a record of 27-2 and both T-Bird teams will host Gillette College on Saturday.
