T-Bird Men Sweep Thanksgiving Classic

The Casper College men's basketball team improved to 9-1 on the year thanks to 3 wins in the 48th annual Thanksgiving Classic at the Erickson Gym over the weekend. The T-Birds opened tournament play on Thursday with an 85-56 win over Colorado Northwestern. Will Likayi led the way for Casper with 24 points on 9-16 shooting from the field. Broc Finstuen chipped in 11. On Friday night, the Birds scorched Dakota College 130-96 with 65 points in each half. Six Casper players were in double figures led by Zion Tordoff with 21 and Isaac Bonton had 20. The Thunderbirds wrapped up the classic with a 65-43 win over Eastern Wyoming on Saturday in a game where they went to the free throw line just 7 times. Broc Finstuen had 19 points on 8-12 from the floor. Bonton had 13. Casper College will be in the Gillette tournament this weekend, meeting McCook on Friday and Lake Region on Saturday
