CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Authorities say a teenager whose body was found outside a Cheyenne high school after temperatures dipped to 10 degrees had a blood-alcohol level of 0.226 percent — nearly three times the legal limit for driving.

Laramie County Coroner Marty Luna says 18-year-old Andrea Battle died of hypothermia, but alcohol was a contributing factor.

Authorities say Battle crashed her car near East High School in the early morning hours of Dec. 1 and wandered around the school grounds for at least two hours afterward.

A maintenance worker discovered her body at 10:15 that morning.
